Why is it that most organizations don't take some time to celebrate accomplishments and give their staff time to relax and get to know each other better? It seems like this gets especially overlooked in public-sector jobs where expenditures are closely tracked. We believe it is important to build time into your schedule where you can bring people together, even if its just for a short period of time. This celebration included an ice cream sundae bar, a trivia contest, and drawings for prizes. In my opinion, this was one of the best whole-staff meetings we had all year!
