Teacher Appreciation Week comes every year during the first part of May. Every school district does something special for their teachers during this time. I was checking out Twitter last year and stumbled upon an idea where teachers were given a door hanger where they were asked to choose from a drink and a snack from a menu of options. Teachers were asked to place the completed door hanger outside their room and then later in the week a special "room service" delivery would be made. Shauna Smith and I thought this sounded like a great idea so we used Vistaprint to create a door hanger and got them out to all of our staff members (not just teachers). In total, we hand-delivered over 200 personalized goodie bags. While the day was exhausting, the interactions we had with all kinds of staff members made the extra effort worthwhile!
